Overview

Immigrate to Canada

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), Canada’s federal immigration authority, plans to admit over 500,000 immigrants to Canada annually, mainly under the Economic Class and the Family Reunification Class.

Express Entry

Express Entry is an online system that we use to manage immigration applications from skilled workers. There are 3 immigration programs managed:

Federal Skilled Worker

FSW program has been the main way Canada has welcomed talent from all across the globe.

Federal Skilled Trade

FST program is for skilled workers who want to become permanent residents based on being qualified in a skilled trade.

Canadian Experience Class

The Canadian government welcomes the desire of foreign professionals with Canadian experience to become permanent residents of Canada.

Provincial Nominee Programs

Canada’s Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) allow provinces and territories to select individuals who have the skills, education, and work experience needed to contribute to their local economies. Through these programs, candidates may receive a Provincial Nomination, which significantly increases their chances of obtaining Permanent Residency.

Each province operates its own streams and categories tailored to specific labour market needs – for skilled workers, tradespersons, international graduates, and entrepreneurs. Some streams are aligned with the Express Entry system, while others offer a direct pathway to Permanent Residency outside of Express Entry.

Applicants are typically required to demonstrate a genuine connection to the nominating province – such as previous work experience, education, or a valid job offer. Once nominated, candidates can apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for Permanent Residency.

Whether you’re already working in Canada or planning to settle in a specific province, the PNP offers an excellent opportunity to transition from temporary status to permanent residence based on your professional and community ties.

Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP)

Immigrate by working or studying in Alberta, or by receiving a valid job offer from an Alberta employer. The program targets in-demand occupations and supports long-term settlement in the province.

Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)

Apply through one of several streams for skilled workers, tradespeople, or entrepreneurs. Saskatchewan prioritizes applicants with job offers, work experience, or family connections in the province.

Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)

Designed for skilled workers, international graduates, and business investors who have established ties to Manitoba through employment, education, or family.

Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP)

Offers multiple pathways for foreign workers, students, and entrepreneurs to gain permanent residency based on Ontario’s labour market needs.

British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP)

Provides opportunities for workers and graduates with in-demand skills to become permanent residents. Includes Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration streams.

New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP)

Focuses on attracting skilled workers, international graduates, and entrepreneurs who can contribute to New Brunswick’s growing economy.

Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP)

Selects skilled individuals and graduates with the experience and education needed to fill labour gaps in Nova Scotia’s key industries.

Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP)

Aims to attract skilled workers, graduates, and entrepreneurs who want to live and work in Prince Edward Island and contribute to its local communities.

Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP)

Targets skilled workers, recent graduates, and entrepreneurs who have employment offers or experience in high-demand occupations.

Atlantic Pilot

The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) is designed to help employers in Canada’s Atlantic provinces – New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador – hire qualified foreign workers and international graduates who want to settle permanently in the region.

Unlike many other programs, AIP focuses on connecting applicants directly with designated employers who are authorized to hire through the program. Once a job offer is secured and an individualized settlement plan is developed, candidates can apply for permanent residency.

The program includes three main categories:

The Atlantic Immigration Program provides a streamlined pathway for those who wish to live and work in Canada’s East Coast communities, offering a balance of career opportunities and high quality of life.

Family Sponsorship

The Family Sponsorship Program allows Canadian citizens and permanent residents to reunite with their close family members by sponsoring them for permanent residency. Through this program, eligible sponsors can help their spouse, common-law partner, dependent children, parents, and grandparents come to Canada and build a life together.

Family reunification remains one of the core priorities of Canada’s immigration system. Sponsors must demonstrate the financial ability to support their family members and ensure they do not rely on social assistance. Once approved, sponsored relatives gain permanent resident status, allowing them to live, work, and study anywhere in Canada.

This program reflects Canada’s commitment to keeping families together, offering a stable and supportive environment for newcomers to thrive alongside their loved ones.
